Safaricom has made life easier including creating ways on how to pay school fees via Mpesa wherever you are.
I have outlined a step by step guide to help you pay school fees faster, and more convenient without the struggle of making long queues in banks.
You only need to have the school business number such as Paybill and the student account name or registration unique number to make it easier to automatically know whom you are paying the fees for.
Step By Step Process To Pay Fees Via Mpes
Step 1
On the mobile phone, go to the M-PESA Menu
Step 2
Select Lipa Na M-PESA
Step 3
Select Pay Bill.
Step 4
In the “Enter Business Number” field enter your respective school’s business PAYBILL number.
This number will be provided by the school.
Step 5
In the “account number” field, enter the number as provided by the school which may be the student name / registration number as per your schools’ registration specification.
NOTE: The school you intend to pay to must be registered to this service.
Step 6
Enter required amount and input M-PESA PIN.
Step 7
Confirm the transaction and money will be remitted to the school’s account.
Step 8
Wait for Mpesa confirmation message
