Raila Uses Chopper to Drop Students to Maranda School

Maranda High School students join school with a chopper.

Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), sparked internet enthusiasm on Monday, August 2 when he flew two form one pupils to Maranda High School for their entrance.

Raila left the two boys off in the school compound while on his way to the region, according to the school secretary. The two lads have been funded for their whole secondary school education by the previous Prime Minister.

The two students have been funded for their whole secondary school education by the previous Prime Minister. The youngsters are not linked to Raila in any way, but they grabbed his notice after excellent achievements in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education last year (KCPE).

In a recent photo that has gone viral, a kid from Maranda High School brought everything to a halt as he arrived at school.

Despite being in a new environment and dressed in school uniform, the lads appeared to be at ease when they arrived.

The issue has evoked mixed reactions online.

While some parents have lamented about the high prices of school uniforms, bedding, books and school fees, some students are just lucky.

In fact, people are however living their best lives out here, and while some are struggling to even put a meal on the table others can afford even more but as they say its life.
