Kenya Airways (KQ) is spreading its wings in response to surging traveler interest. The airline has decided to boost its weekly flights to London in the United Kingdom from 10 to an impressive 14.
Commencing from tomorrow, Kenya Airways will offer one to two daily flights connecting Nairobi with the vibrant city of London. Travelers will now have the flexibility to choose between morning and evening departures every day of the week.
This strategic move comes as a direct response to the mounting demand for this sought-after route, with passengers showing an increasing preference for Kenya Airways services. A statement released by KQ highlights the expansion as a response to the surging market demand and the growing number of passengers seeking to travel between these destinations.
To cater to this growing demand, Kenya Airways has deployed its Boeing B787 Dreamliner aircraft for the London route.
This expansion is part of Kenya Airways’ journey to recovery following the turbulence of 2020. Notably, in 2021, the national carrier introduced three additional flights to London after Kenya was removed from the UK’s red list of countries.
This change saw Kenya join a list of countries, including Bangladesh, Egypt, the Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Turkey, that were no longer restricted by the UK’s travel policies, signaling a positive step forward for international travel connections.
