Kenya Power Prepaid Token Vending System to Undergo Brief Maintenance

In a bid to ensure the uninterrupted efficiency of its services, Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced a temporary suspension of its prepaid token vending system for essential maintenance.

KPLC has meticulously scheduled a maintenance window temporarily affecting customers’ ability to purchase electricity tokens through the prepaid Paybill number 888880 or Airtel Money.

The slated maintenance period is poised to kick off on the night of September 9th, 2023, starting at 11:50 PM and is anticipated to conclude by the early hours of September 10th, 2023, at 5:00 AM.

Throughout this maintenance period, consumers will not have access to electricity token purchases via the mentioned payment methods.

A snippet from the official KPLC notice states, “Our prepaid vending system will be briefly unavailable due to essential maintenance, beginning from Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at 11:50 PM, and concluding on Sunday, September 10th, 2023, at 5:00 AM.” While this maintenance is imperative for the system’s continued reliability, KPLC acknowledges that it may cause momentary inconveniences for its valued customers who rely on the prepaid token vending system for their electricity requirements.

KPLC sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary interruption may cause their esteemed customers. Stay tuned for a renewed and improved token vending experience after the maintenance window!
