Legal Impersonator Brian Mwenda: Prosecution Fights for No Bail

In a dramatic courtroom showdown, the prosecution is vehemently opposing the bail request of alleged fake lawyer Brian Mwenda. They argue that Mwenda’s release would risk him skipping court hearings, citing his blatant disregard for the law and his audacious evasion of police for over four days.

Highlighting Mwenda’s audacity, the prosecution pointed out that he has already misled the public into believing that evading justice is feasible. Moreover, ongoing investigations might lead to additional criminal charges against him, further underlining the gravity of the situation.

Adding weight to the prosecution’s stance, the President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), Eric Theuri, disclosed that former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko had allegedly orchestrated plans for Mwenda to pursue education abroad. This revelation raises concerns that Mwenda, if granted bail, might exploit the opportunity to evade legal proceedings altogether.

During the court proceedings, a compelling video was presented, showcasing Mwenda’s and the Governor’s nonchalant demeanor despite the serious accusations. The video served as a stark reminder of the accused’s apparent lack of remorse and accountability.

In light of these alarming factors, the prosecution passionately argues against granting bail to Brian Mwenda, emphasizing the need to uphold the integrity of the legal system and prevent potential escape from justice.
