Quincy, the resilient stepson of former KTN presenter Esther Arunga and son of the enigmatic Pastor Quincy Timberlake, has embarked on an exciting new chapter in his life as he begins his educational journey at the prestigious Kenya Aeronautical College, located at Wilson Airport.
The announcement of Quincy’s enrollment in a four-year engineering course at the institution was met with enthusiasm and support from the community. Journalist and lawyer Wahome Thuku, who played a pivotal role in sharing the news, highlighted the generous contributions from compassionate Kenyans that totaled an impressive Ksh1 million. These funds will significantly benefit Quincy and his two siblings, ensuring they can access necessities and quality education.
Thuku couldn’t contain his emotions, stating, “I am almost in tears. This young man would never have dreamt of getting there without you folks. Not even a dream. With all his brilliant brains, he would have wasted away in the streets of Nairobi.” It’s a testament to the transformative power of a supportive community.
Quincy Timberlake’s life story is a tapestry of complexity, woven with the threads of his father’s previous marriage to the late Rose Mweni Gideon in the 1990s. Together, they built a life in the bustling neighborhood of Komarock, Nairobi, and were blessed with three sons. However, in 2009, Quincy Timberlake left his first family for Esther Arunga, a well-known KTN anchor.
Their journey together led them to Australia, where they faced a series of legal challenges following the tragic death of their son, Sinclair, in 2014. Esther Arunga made the difficult decision to change her statement and plead guilty to being an accessory to the manslaughter of her son. This choice came after Quincy Timberlake admitted himself to a mental health facility.
Due to her plea, Esther Arunga was given a 10-month suspended sentence for her role in the tragic incident. Hardships and challenges have marked Quincy Timberlake’s path. Still, as he embarks on his educational journey at Kenya Aeronautical College, he is poised to soar to new heights and carve a brighter future for himself.
