Kenya Power has officially announced scheduled power interruptions that will affect eight counties on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. This planned maintenance activity is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to optimize its network.
The power interruptions are scheduled to commence at 9:00 AM. They will last until 5:00 PM, impacting specific areas within the following counties: Nairobi, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Migori, Meru, Embu, Kiambu, and Mombasa.
In Nairobi, residents of Kangemi, sections of Waiyaki Way, Sodom, Kinda School, Nairobi Water, and other adjacent areas will experience temporary power disruptions.
Nakuru County will see power interruptions affecting the entirety of the White House and Kiti Date and the entire Blankets and Kiratina areas.
In Trans-Nzoia, Kenya Power customers in Maili Saba, Sibanga, Makunga, Kipsaina, and surrounding areas will experience disruptions.
Migori County will witness interruptions in locations such as Nyamarambe, Riosiri, Emesa Village, and parts of Tabaka.
In Meru County, power interruptions will impact Maua Town, Athi Kiegoi, Nyambene Hospital, Luluma, Methodist Hospital, and other adjacent areas.
Embu County residents in areas like Masinga, Sogea, Kamukunzi, Mukusu, Masinga Boy and Girls Secondary Schools, and Msingini will also experience temporary power outages.
Tola, Bob Harris, the entire Tula area, Kiahuria, Ndarungo, and Metro, among other places, will encounter disruptions as well.
Mombasa County residents in Nyali, Bamburi, Masjid Noor, Murji Farm, Mwembelegeza, Kisumu Ndogo, and surrounding neighborhoods should be prepared for temporary power interruptions.
