This visionary initiative, fostered through a dynamic public-private partnership, aims to cultivate top-tier ICT skills in young graduates by offering a 12-month internship program spanning the public and private sectors.
Aspiring talents can choose from various specialized tracks designed to shape their expertise in various ICT domains.
The available positions include:
- Network and Digital Infrastructure – 100 positions
- Software Development and AI – 100 positions
- Information Security – 50 positions
- Multimedia (Graphic Design) & Digital Marketing – 50 positions
- Data Analytics – 50 positions
Eligibility Guidelines
To be eligible for this groundbreaking opportunity, applicants must meet specific criteria:
- If awaiting graduation (expected by December 2023), applicants must provide a stamped recommendation/reference letter from their university confirming the anticipation of receiving a First or Upper-Second Honors degree.
- Hold a First or Upper Second-Class Honors degree from a recognized institution, achieved within the last two years (from January 2021).
- Recent graduates in BSc. ICT or Engineering (Electric & Electronics, Telecommunications, Software) are preferred.
- Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge in their core areas, as they may be required to demonstrate technical competencies during interviews.
- Be a Kenyan youth between the ages of 21 and 29, currently unemployed.
- Not have participated in another government internship program.
Be prepared and willing to work full-time (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) in any government organization (MCDAs) across the 47 counties.
Furthermore, the program encourages females, persons with disabilities, and graduates from ASAL regions to apply, aiming to foster inclusivity and diversity within the tech industry.
