Westlands Member of Parliament (MP) Tim Wanyonyi has made a significant announcement amidst a backdrop of infrastructure development. The occasion marked unveiling of the freshly tarmacked Gichagi Village Inn Road in the scenic Mountain View area of Westlands.
This transformational road project was executed by the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), operating under the guidance of the Constituency Roads Board. It involved the meticulous tarmacking of the road and saw the installation of a robust 600mm diameter culvert at the Thiongo Road junction.
Furthermore, the project encompassed the installation of stormwater pipes extending from Thiongo Road to Watiti River in a determined effort to enhance the road’s drainage system and combat persistent drainage issues that have plagued the community. However, the event held more than just infrastructure significance. It also served as the launchpad for MP Tim Wanyonyi’s ambitious gubernatorial campaign for the upcoming 2027 elections, setting the stage for a captivating political showdown.
Amidst cheers and applause, Wanyonyi conveyed his unwavering confidence in securing the coveted position of Nairobi Governor. He emphasized that his previous bid had been a temporary pause, not an abandonment of his aspirations.
As he addressed the gathering at Village Inn, MP Wanyonyi employed his well-known slogan: ‘Si Mimi, Ni Sisi’. This catchphrase underscored his belief that his gubernatorial aspirations are a collective endeavor driven by the community he serves.
In a rousing declaration, he stated, “We are approaching like a tsunami, ready to surge forward and claim victory.” He galvanized the community with these words, rallying them behind his vision for a prosperous Nairobi under his leadership. The political landscape is set for a thrilling race as Tim Wanyonyi steps onto the gubernatorial stage, promising a bright future for Nairobi residents.
